History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Ernest was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He now owns his own business.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Carter they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Healer, and she later adopted a second son.
