Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Helen took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up sai and armor she uses now. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. When Jacoba reached her early adolescence her Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.
