History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Alex alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it; and doesn't want to be a farmer and was forced into it by his family

History: The child of a Roofer, who enjoyed hunting, Helen was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her first spouse was a Roofer, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: She can speak with the recently deceased. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Miner. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Miner for hire.
