History: A child with a great deal of singing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Through the years after Joan was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. History: Gilbert was born with his father's beautiful face. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Description: Relatively heavier built than your average woman, she is not imposing. She wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Soapmaker born in the past three hundred years. Further she is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Katherine was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Katherine was born on a far northern mountains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Soapmaker. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
