History: Solomon hails from a village terrorized by goblins. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Solomon grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Solomon. He's also a talented Roofer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: Nicholas is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Nicholas is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and he loathes his own lifestyle

Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She was taken from her home at a very young age. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world.

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. Avice liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and doesn't want to be a apothecary and was forced into it by her family
