History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting giants, the young William began to lead the lost caravan. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with writing. He constantly tries to fill his life with writing. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and to find somewhere to settle down

Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and sabotage a competitor
