History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Roland was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
