History: Gilbert hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Gilbert fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Thomas was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Bricklayer for the past few years.

Personality: Ella wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Ella and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Her druidic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. She always admired druidic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and to find somewhere to settle down
