History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Matilda fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her mother. A freak accident while working with her Fortune-teller mother left her crippled. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
