Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Charles is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Charles was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Charles's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

History: Gifted from a young age, Balimaar studied abroad. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Balimaar was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Personality: She has two modes she varies between. On the job she is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job she is a party animal. She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She tends to her Bookbinder job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and balancing her hectic life and new bookbinder responsibilities is difficult
