Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. After a long history of fighting, Adelard and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Ruler but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and doesn't want to be a scribe and was forced into it by his family
