History: Tim lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Yvonne was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A gifted student she started as a Body Guard, but she got bored and became a Cartwright. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.
