At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

A gifted student she started as a Unemployed, but she got bored and became a Cartwright. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.
