Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing painting.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the east. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Simon was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the west. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. In her journeys she found a malevolent artifact. She wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers

Personality: He is a Soapmaker first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Soapmaker. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Soapmaker responsibilities is difficult.
