Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Through the years after Cory was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Cory's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She comes from a rich northern family. Avice was a troubled youth. Avice decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.
