He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Rosamund was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
