Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Everard lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. Her first spouse was a Carpenter, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and she possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Guard. She became a Guard soon after.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and retire the richest woman in the west
