History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Shane alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Architect arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
