History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Seamstress hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He hates Humans with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. Roland is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Sage they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Interpreter, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. The war was a terrible time for him, and Robert does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When Robert reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Born to a Ploughman, her mother struggled to pay the bills. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.
