History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Gerard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Gerard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted.
