History: Born in the west to a Shepherd, Gerard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying west to reunite his family. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Matilda is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Matilda was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor.
