History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Don was born on a far western plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Guard. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She wants revenge against dire rats.
