History: Katherine hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has achieved small success as a Architect.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with white lining and desert motifs, and is pretty ugly. He sports a long red beard, and similarly colored long hair. His fierce hazel eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: The child of a Miller, who enjoyed hunting, Roland was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
