Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Reynard's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. Reynard enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Reynard was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Personality: This woman loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her writing with anyone who is interested.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Jacoba was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Jacoba's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.
