His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Description: A woman with a warm, jovial air about her, she is wearing a tight black one piece outfit complete with pants, hood, and a cape. Her hair is always cut to a buzz. She wears a mask on her face.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: She was born in a small desert village. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. She would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Matilda took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up lance and armor she uses now. She bought a lance and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look. Her white hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a Stetson hat. Her face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. Her spectacle hidden eyes are a deep amber.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Emmeline was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Emmeline decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. In her 20th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
