Through the years after Avelina was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Avelina's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Ahlyssa's homeland. Ahlyssa decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.
