He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: The child of a Carter, who enjoyed hunting, Bertram was taken on many hunting expeditions. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Bertram took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up dagger and armor he uses now. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Bertram was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. Some 8 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Elizabeth never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.
