History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Everard was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Layabout. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: She comes from a rich southern family. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
