History: She comes from a rich northern family. Through the years after Avice was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Avice's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: Kody hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Assassin arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
