It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Geva was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Ostracized due to the martial powers of her oldest sister, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
