History: Gunter lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.
