History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Ahlyssa is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the east. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She now owns her own business.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
