History: Jacoba was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has never given up on her poetry dream.

His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it
