Personality: She is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as she rather likes the sound of her voice. Her demeanor is somewhat feminine. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her father. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Scribe hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Scribe responsibilities is difficult.

History: Matilda lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In her youth she was a Cook, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger sister on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Cook they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Fisher, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: To unite with her sister; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His druidic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 13 years.
