Personality: Mary is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: She comes from a rich northern family. While she appears to be a normal Human, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She has passion for adventuring and risk.

History: She is a Slaad in disguise. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Carpenter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.

Motivation: She wants to meet her childhood hero.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and he is wracked by social anxiety
