Description: A man of a pale complexion, he likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. His black hair is matted, messy, and big. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines gray.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Nicholas was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Nicholas decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Description: This malnourished woman typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep brown leather and dull tan iron scale mail. Her auburn hair is greasy and uncared for. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Beggar hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and she's repulsed by the pc

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away; and he desires power and/or immortality

Description: She is in excellent shape and is well dressed, but even with her fine clothing she looks run-down. She has wavy silver hair. She has brown eyes.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Helen embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Helen is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.
