Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. Frederick enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Frederick was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Frederick and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Eva lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
