It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. Description: A man with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. He is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. His hair, while still mostly blonde, has prominent grey streaks. His fierce gray eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Detective hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Agnes embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: Agnes was born the youngest of three triplets. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. Recently the stress of being a Bowyer has made it difficult for her to sleep.
