He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Personality: Oriel is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and further expansion of business

He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He comes from a rich western family. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
