History: Helen was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Guard for the past few years.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to pay off her debts

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
