History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Miner and was forced into it by her family; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion

History: Matilda was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Interpreter for the past few years.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with his Courier mother left him crippled. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.
