Description: A woman with a calm yet intense air about her, she wears a grey cloak and cross-gartered brown stockings. Her hair, while still mostly chestnut, has prominent grey streaks. Her amber eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.
Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.
History: She got into the Layabout business at a young age. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.
Motivation: She is wracked by social anxiety; and wants to open a new tavern

Description: With blue face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he is dressed in an above average manner. He has done his best to style his golden hair to look like a famous performer. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are green.
Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.
History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and to reunite with his absent mother

Description: She wears dull brown sweaters, loose black pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath her sweater she keeps a concealed monstrous two handed axe, just in case. Her skin is fair and her fingers are delicate and long. Her red hair is well kept. Her thin eyebrows rest above her beady amber eyes.
Personality: She is cool and collected. She likes to make quips and puns whenever she does anything. She also makes a point to compliment her superiors and flatter them. She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.
History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: Many illithids want her driven away; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge
