History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Katherine is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She comes from a rich northern family. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
