History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a Beggar, her mother struggled to pay the bills. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Shane alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has never given up on his dancing dream.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and many brigands want him driven away
