History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Through the years after Avice was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Avice's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
