However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. Ostracized due to the martial powers of her oldest sister, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She has worked as a Marshal like her mother before her.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Marshal responsibilities is difficult; and she seems to be bored by most things

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
