History: Simon hails from a village terrorized by goblins. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Simon was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Jacoba was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He became a Map Maker soon after.
