History: Bertram was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Server hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born in a small plains village. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Herleva was born with her mother's beautiful face. A gifted student she started as a Barrister, but she got bored and became a Detective. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Detective for the past few years.

Motivation: To be a Barrister again; and balancing her hectic life and new detective responsibilities is difficult

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. Anne is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: She was born in the east. Her father worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled father and took her father's old job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and to unite with her brother
