History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and doesn't want to be a animal trainer and was forced into it by his family

Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Sculptor they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Shoemaker, and she later adopted a second daughter.
