History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Description: He is a husky man, who is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. He sports a long black beard, and similarly colored long hair. His half smiles and hazel eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. The occasional robbery is his preferred attention getting crime, but he mainly uses his means for meeting his own perverse desires.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Description: She wears skinny pants and wears a pastel and brown robe with the hood down, and she perpetually has her crossbow ready. Her brown hair is thinning but still full. She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Melissa fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions.

Description: A middle-aged woman, she wears baggy tan pantaloons and a red scarf, and is pretty ugly. She wears a deerstalker hat to hide her balding. Her gray eyes peer out from beneath her deerstalker tan hat.

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
